Command laws for d-c magnetic attitude control of satellite by means of coil of axis parallel to spin were examined; slow control drift was obtained for general command law, in field of canted dipole, along orbit of non-vanishing eccentricity; various types of control were studied and it was shown that one of them (current pulsed at double orbital frequency) generally permits control in all directions of inertial space by varying on-signal true anomaly.
