Information about Cold Finger atmospheric condenser, invention of R.F. Milton, which circulates air in sealed nonventilated cargo hold of ship and simultaneously removes excess moisture from air; function of this device is to provide preferential cold surface over which cargo space air is circulated; moisture in air is condensed on cold surface, collected and then removed from space, thus lowering dew-point so that moisture in air will not condense either on cargo or on steel surfaces.
