Method, verified by simulation, of analyzing major error sources in system consisting of three pulse-torqued gyros and digital differential analyzer; long-term propagation of commutation error is solved through formulation of effective timing errors that vary with rms angular rates in three orthogonal directions; analysis also provides long-term effects of various gyro errors; complexity of realistic motion in no way inhibits straightforward and accurate error analysis; only general characterization of dynamic environment is necessary; results are insensitive to parameterization, provided that truncation error is satisfactorily bounded.
