Program of prelaunch testing of Saturn series providing space vehicle for Apollo; design, construction, and check-out of test systems for simulation of dynamic flight environment, utilizing both vibration and acoustics, at Wyle-Huntsville test facility designed to simulate effect of 7.5 million-lb thrust of (booster stage) S-IC's five F-1 engines on three major sections of S-II stage; test requirements included acoustic excitation from 10 to 10,000 cps at 160 db overall, random vibration from 10 to 300 cps in each of five axes, and sinusoidal vibration from 5 to 300 cps in each of five axes.
