New 14 mm automotive spark plug, provides engine designer with greater latitude in three fundamental areas, spark gap location, spark plug cooling, and spark plug accessibility; spark plug combines 5/8 in. hexagonal and 63 degrees conical seating arrangement with popular 14 mm thread to provide reduction in overall size; smaller installation space required offers considerably more flexibility in spark plug positioning; extensive laboratory and vehicle testing have proved that new plug will perform all required functions well.
