Variety of experimental models have been used for accident investigations including anthropometric dummies, experimental animals, cadavers, and human volunteers; "Sophisticated Sam", created by Sierra Engineering Co, represents significant advance in state-of-art; dummy duplicates structure, size, and articulation of human being; his bones can be expected to fracture at same loads as living human being in dynamic force environment; brain will be realistically simulated to provide better approximation of head impact; two-dimensional view indicating skelatal components is shown.
