Features of 650 hp diesel-hydraulic rack locomotive with Voith transmission and hydro-dynamic braking built and supplied by Swiss Locomotive and Machine Works for use on 1 in 4.5 gradients on Chamonix-Montenvers Railway in France; locomotive frame is of welded steel plate, suspension for driving axle is by coil springs and leading axle is compensated through Silentbloc bushes with pony axle; cab has four fixed-windows and two sliding-windows and is entered from rear by central door; heating is by radiators coupled into cooling system.
