Development of reinforced plastic-ceramic composite armor for protection of men and equipment against small arms fire; each armor component is identified, and production of woven-roving glass fabric laminate and its assembly into composite indicated; current applications in Vietnam as torso shields and leg armor for aircrewmen on helicopters, pilot's seats and shields for vulnerable components on aircraft, and deckhouse and gun shield on patrol river boats are shown.
