Background and development history of GOER program and vehicles which are based on large rubber-tired articulated vehicle concept; U S Army has highly mobile, long life, rugged, easily maintained logistic carrier fleet consisting of 8-ton cargo vehicle. 2500-gal fuel transporter, and 10-ton wrecker; engineer/service and troop tests have proved concept to be effective in intended role; 18 mo of use in Vietnam have verified concept and capability under actual combat conditions.
