Among features of Bristol LH chassis are light weight, low cost and ease of maintenance; it has been designed to supplement RE and VR range; three lengths of chassis are available, with wheelbases of 150 in., 192 in., and 216 in.; to enable large proportion of floor to be flat, engine and gearbox are carried beneath frame; this configuration facilitates servicing and makes vehicle suitable for one-man operation; two engines are available; Perkins horizontal H6/354, 5800 cc or Leyland horizontal 0.400, 6540 cc unit; details of steering gear, brake system and suspension.
