Scotts' Shipbuilding and Engineering Co have delivered Parma, first of pair of fast refrigerated fruit ships for F.Laeisz, of Hamburg, and second vessel, Padua, is fitting-out afloat; length oa 501 ft, molded breadth 63 ft, molded depth to upper deck 38 ft 9 in., summer draft 25 ft 7/8 in., dw 6496 tons, cargo capacity (bananas) 318,383 cu ft (grain) 336,440 cu ft (bale) 325,560 cu ft, speed on trials 22.634 knots; 10-cyl B and W engine built by John G.
