Description of Handley-Page automatic slots with which Bureau of Aeronautics, Department of Navy has been testing; action of linkage is entirely automatic and depends on angle of attack at which plane flies; in test made by Navy it has been demonstrated that even though plane has lost flying speed and is settling rapidly at large angle of attack altitude of plane is still under control of pilot.
