New apparatus comprises additional electrically operated " application" and "holing" valves under each coach, which are manipulated through medium of brake "controller" on drivers brake valve, and connected up by necessary train wires; when brakes are being worked electrically air pressure in normal train pipe remains constant and unaffected; it can, however, be manipulated separately exactly as with normal equipment.
