Twin-screw passenger and vehicle ferry St. George, now in service on Harwich-Hook of Holland route, is first vessel launched from shipyard of Swan Hunter and Tyne Shipbuilders Ltd since group was formed; it is first ship to be propelled by Ruston and Hornsby AO-design diesel engines, each pair of 9-cyl engines developing 9000 bhp; plans.
