Design concept of tester is shown to fulfill requirements for precision, ruggedness, compactness, traffic interference, and cost of operation; trailer and towing vehicle, instrumentation and controls, calibration equipment and method of calibration are described; selected results of skid tests are given; also described is prototype of new portable tester developed especially for field use to supplement large unit.
