Study of payload capability of vehicle for Earth-to-Mars roundtrip mission; family of tangential constant-acceleration trajectories is used for Earth-escape and -capture phases, and variable thrust transfer trajectories for heliocentric transfer phase between Earth and Mars and return; results show that considerable payload is possible for total transfer times as low as 120-150 days when power plant having specific mass of 0.1 kg/kw is utilized.
