Space docking differs from preceding terminal phase of rendezvous in 2 ways -- scale of distances and velocities is finer, and target cannot be treated as point; its attitude must be sensed and considered; problem of automatic control of docking sensor combinations giving sufficient data for docking are outlined; set of control axes is defined, and control equations for these axes are derived.
