Problems of placing man on Moon at early date and lunar rendezvous technique as possible solution is examined with emphasis on escape from Earth, transit to Moon, lunar landing, surface operations, lunar launch and injection, return transit to Earth, re-entry into Earth's atmosphere, recovery of re-entry body, support and protection of human crew members throughout all phases, and abort capability for manned portion of system; critical areas are identified and operational sequences outlined.
