Ability of pilot to perform rendezvous under various conditions of thrust misalignment and attitude rate damping was investigated by means of 6 degrees of freedom computer simulation through systematic variation of vehicle dynamics; results indicate that manual control of rendezvous can be achieved consistently; results presented regarding pilot performance, fuel consumption, terminal conditions, and ability to hold attitude and follow thrusting schedule, rendezvous vehicle parameters such as displays, controls, and thrust configuration, are discussed.
