Two gap distributions including Pearson type III distribution, and modified exponential distribution used by Oliver that takes into account minimum headway which is governed by finite vehicle sizes and velocity and spacing characteristics of drives are comparatively analyzed; distributions did not fit to data obtained in Holland Tunnel, New York, NY, approximately 1 mi "downstream" from entrance.
