Engine is 4-6-2 of "Princess Royal" class; working pressure is 250 lb; superheater designed to raise total temperature to 750 F; turbines, designed by Lysolmand made by Metro-Vick, occupy position usually taken by cylinders; ahead turbine has two Curtis and several expansion stages, and develops 2000 hp at full admission; reverse turbine has one Curtis row and three nozzles.
