Four planing surfaces, all having beams of 16 in. and lengths of 60 in. but varying in dead rise by 10° increments from 0 to 30°, were tested in NACA tank; results cover wide range of speeds, loads, and trim angles; and are applicable to many problems encountered in seaplane design.
