Lift and turnover type car dumper, built at Sandusky, Ohio, for Pennsylvania Railroad by Heyl and Patterson, capable of emptying 60 cars of coal per hr, can handle 120-ton cars at rate of 45 per hr or 90-ton cars at rate of 1 car per min; electric equipment designed to operate dumper continuously at full capacity, even though major piece of equipment should fail; two motor-generator sets, each rated 1275 kw at 720 rpm supply 3-c power for mule and cradle drives and auxiliary drives.
