Exhaust gas pressure charger makes applied to railway diesel engines; units are for low pressure charging with max ratio of 1.5 to 1, altitude pressure charging to give power increase of about 50% above that of naturally aspirated engine at altitudes above 3500 ft, and high pressure charging to give power increases at sea level up to 120 %.
