Tests used by American Engineering Co, Philadelphia, Pa, to determine strength, speed and power of marine deck auxiliary equipment for naval, passenger and merchant ships; purpose of tests is to demonstrate also satisfactory operation of different sub-groups, such as electric motor, hydraulic transmission, controlling devices, etc, under service conditions and to secure sufficient data to assure purchaser that equipment is made to meet requirements of contract specifications.
