All welded tugs of heavy, rugged and serviceable construction, built by Ira S. Bushey and Sons, Brooklyn, NY, on Bushey "Chine" system, with 4 chines and 4 plates on each side between keel and deck; length 100 it; propelled by Fairbanks-Morse 7-cyl model 37E14 Marine Diesel engine of 300 rpm, having 20-kw electrodynamic shaft generator and turning 3-blade bronze propeller of special design.
