Paper attempts to assess sales prospects of Anglo/French supersonic airliner and examines how these might be affected by sonic boom problem and advent of larger and faster American supersonic transport; economic studies, carried out with aid of latest computerized techniques, are going on in British and French design centers of project showing that Concorde would still have competitive place in airline planning in event of ban on sonic boom, since it is designed to cruise subsonically at very little economic penalty; airlines' attitude toward Concorde indicates that two aircraft will be more complementary than competitive.
