Article relates experiences and operations of auxiliary vessels most of which are Diesel powered, which play important part in every naval operation for it is their function to supply combat vessels and their men with ammunition, foodstuffs, water and equipment, to see that all combat and landing craft are properly repaired, and to salvage air and surface ships and cargo.
