The aim of current research was to study the reduction of trip demand through appropriate and fair distribution of educational land uses in Mashhad metropolis city. To determine the rate of trip production and trip attraction in each zone and district of Mashhad, geographically weighted regression model was used based on ARC GIS software. The kind of research method used in this research was descriptive – analytical method. The findings of this research showed that, of 253 traffic zones in Mashhad city, zone 231 with 6718 trips had the highest rate of trip prediction, while the lowest trip rate was due to zones 130 and 167. In terms of educational trip attraction, traffic zone of 84 with 8068 trips had the highest trip, while zones 149, 156 and 190 allocated the lowest prediction of educational trip production to themselves. This illustrates the necessity of attentions should be paid to transportation planning by Metropolitan authorities of Mashhad with 5876313 trips per day and annually 25 million religious pilgrims and a number of 478520 students.
