Object and purpose of research. The paper presents developing principles and tests example for electronic knowledgebase of ship design and the procedures to use and fulfill the knowledgebase. Material and methods. This study is based on the new ways to create methods to use the automation calculations in ship design process. Main results. It is shown a way how to limit to use the heavy foreign software for some ship design calculations. Conclusion. The study could be a guidance to fulfill knowledgebase of ship design.
