Strategic alliances emerge in the efforts of airline companies to engage in mutual activities in the dynamic aviation sector that is developing and changing. Cooperation agreements involving airline companies can be described as important steps towards gaining sustainable competitive advantage, and they are undertaking a guiding role for their members. The aim of this study is to examine the entrepreneurial characteristics of global airline alliances (Star Alliance, Sky Team, One World) within the framework of content analysis of their members’ mission and vision statements. The data of the study were collected from 59 airline companies that are members of the three major global airline alliances. The mission and vision statements of the majority of these airline companies were obtained from their websites and some of them via e-mail. According to the results of the analysis, it can be revealed that the entrepreneurial characteristic mentioned the most in the mission statements of the three major global airline alliances is self-confidence (self-confidence), and the entrepreneurial characteristic that is the least mentioned is risk-taking. In the same way, it can be revealed that the entrepreneurial characteristic mentioned the most in the vision statements is leadership, and the entrepreneurial characteristic that is the least mentioned is risk-taking, creativity, and success.
