[Objective] Due to the large passenger number in urban rail transit trains, in case of emergencies, it is necessary to evacuate passengers to a safe area within the shortest time using the optimal evacuation method. In the train running section without an evacuation platform, the front-type evacuation plan is a relatively good choice, but its specific implementation still needs improvement and refinement. Therefore, it is necessary to study the full-width evacuation door system and evacuation simulation of urban rail trains. [Method] By analyzing the design forms of the full-width evacuation door, a design plan for achieving front-type evacuation using the full-width evacuation door system is introduced. A passenger evacuation model is established, and the impacts of different types of evacuation doors, the number of evacuation ramps, and the presence or absence of the cab partition door on the evacuation efficiency are analyzed. [Result & Conclusion] Compared with the existing semi-width evacuation door system, the full-width evacuation door system has a higher evacuation efficiency. The evacuation efficiency is the highest when a second evacuation ramp is configured and the cab partition door is removed. However, for the full-width evacuation door system with a single ramp, an open-type cab may instead cause congestion at the exit.
