Abstract. The principles of formation of the structure and functioning algorithms are developed andpresented for multipositioning radio rangefinding land-based system which identifies the location ofcommuter aircrafts in the vertical and horizontal planes by the method of three ranges without usingaltimeter. Keywords: aircraft, commuter airlines, aeronavigation, landing, airborne radio ranging equipment, operation algorithms.
