This data submission contains surface representations (3D models) of some tensile fractures of rock, scanned with a structured-light scanner with an accuracy better than 40 micrometres. Additionally, more than 400 profiles (captured with a tactile profilometer) and a collection of direct shear test results from various authors and including this study are given. This data is supplementary material to a study submitted to "Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences" journal under the title "Incoherency of replica-based shear strength criteria regarding tensile fractures with high wall strength" (Marsch K, Fernandez-Steeger TM 2021).
