This session examines the future role of airports as intermodal mobility hubs. The aim is to discuss and reflect on the future trajectory of cities and airports in the age of emerging technologies and a growing demand for air travel. The participants will receive an overview of scenarios for mitigating emissions associated with airport access and egress on the example of Schiphol Airport from the TULIPS project. The speakers include experts from Vervoerregio Amsterdam, NS, NLR and TNO. The presentation discusses strategies on how public transport providers and airports can create a sustainable and flexible mobility offer.
