BAE Systems Hägglunds develop vehicles that are expected to be used in extremely stressful and complicated situations where mistakes can be lethal. These circumstances set very high demands on the vehicle performance. In a mechanical perspective the BvS10 is a very competent vehicle. This master thesis present a concept that show the possibility of an equally impressing man-machine-interface. The instrument panel and control panel have been completely reorganized to create a new more effective and intuitive interface. The functionality has always been prioritised when a conflict have occurred with design issues. Good industrial design and functionality often coexist and in a marketing perspective industrial design can give the product an extra edge against the competitors. The concept presented must only be used and looked upon as a concept, it’s a number of ideas on how to improve the man-machine-interface and not the final solution ready for serial production. ; Validerat; 20101217 (root)
