Aim of the research: Estimate the use of crutches effects of posture and balance in rehabilitation period after joints replacement surgery. Objectives of the research:1. Estimate the use of crutches effect of posture in rehabilitation period after joints replacement surgery. 2. Estimate the use of crutches effect of posture in rehabilitation period after joints replacement surgery. Method of the research: The study was conducted in AB „Ortopedijos technika“ medical institution, in patients lying section. 10 patients were examined (8 women and 2 men) after lower body part joints replacement surgery. Aim of the research was estimate the use of crutches effects o posture and balance in rehabilitation period after joints replacement surgery. Posture with crutches and without them was fixed „Contemplas“ video recording system and „Basler“ camera, which was produced in Germany. Balance was fixed with „Moticon OpenGo“ mobile pressure measurment system. Conclusions:1.For patients who had lowerbody part joints replacement operation, walking aids, esspecialy crutches has negative influence for all body inclination angle p=0.05 and for operated leg angle p=0.05. For all other angles, for example, waist inclination angle, lordosis angle, knee angle, C7 and sacral angle, pelvis inclination angle and healthy leg angle there is no negative or positive changes. It means that from 8 fixed angles there is negative changes just in 2 angles. 2.The use of crutches also has negativeinfluence for balance. It shows pressure changes: anterior/posterior p=0.001, mediolateral p=0.035. Much bigger variation is in direction of anterior/posterior than in mediolateral. That means that when patients uses crutches the balance is in bad direction.
