Data fusion technology is to access a number of chronological observation information, to analyze and synthesize the data automatically in a certain criterion by the computer in order to complete the necessary decision-making and assessment of tasks carried out by the information processing technology. Freeway infrastructure includes pavement, bridge, and tunnel and so on, and the indicator data of their safety status is multi-derived. In the process of freeway infrastructure safety assessment, we need an effective multi-source heterogeneous data fusion method to state a reasonable traffic safety assessment for the infrastructure. This article is to address the multi-source heterogeneous data fusion problem of freeway infrastructure, which calls for a comprehensive analysis of data fusion methods. Finally we determine the data fusion program for the multi-source test data of the freeway infrastructure.
