Pupils’ commuting trip is an important part of urban residents’ travel and overlaps mostly with urban commuting travel in peak hours, which not only results in more traffic pressure but also makes the safety issue of pupils’ commuting trip becoming increasingly prominent. This paper mainly focuses on Jinan primary schools which is divided to the old and new district’s schools by its location. Then, questionnaire investigation was carry out on the two schools which are chosen from the two types respectively to collect pupils’ trip data. According to the results of questionnaire investigation, this study proposes “P+B,” which refers to park and school bus, as pupil’s commuting trip mode. Additionally, its applicability and adaptive scope are testified by logit model. This study provides a theoretical foundation for traffic organization of the new and the under-construction school.
