In recent years, frequent safety accidents have resulted in great loss to the national property. It is important to carry out risk assessment of construction safety on mountainous freeways. A fussy synthetic assessment model of construction safety on mountainous freeways, as well as a relevant safety assessment factor system, was established. The weights of factors were calculated by analytic hierarchy process. Using Cauchy distribution, subjection function of factor sets and judging matrix were gained. Result vector was calculated and safety status grade on freeways was estimated through fussy assessment. The construction safety status of five work sites on Hubei Hurongxi Freeway was evaluated using fussy evaluation model. Construction safety evaluation ranks and degrees of all work sites were calculated. Results show the situations of safety control management and the securities of the second and third work site should be strengthened. Analysis reveals the whole safety on site can be achieved by effectively adopting fussy assessment.
