In respect to the solving of large-scale population mobility status we need a high-speed railway mode of transportation that is reliable, safe, efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly. At present, the pace for China's high-speed railway construction is accelerating. The construction of high-speed railway will not only bring about a new leap in China's economic development, but also will lead to the whole transportation system to be faced with new changes and reorganization. Therefore, there is a need for new missions for the transportation planning, such as the linking between high-speed railways and other transport facilities. In addition, the construction of low-carbon, efficient and intensive transportation system are of mandatory. The paper presents the ideas and methods of the new-aged planning of transport facilities adjacent to the high-speed railway stations taking transportation planning of the South Songjiang New Town as a case study. The analysis provides reference for the planning and construction of high-speed railways in China and any other party of the world.
