Accessibility, the “ease” of people overcoming a spatial obstacle, is a vital indictor for quantitative studies into service levels of transportation systems. To estimate the transit system, the accessibility of transportation hubs such as railway stations is significant. However, researchers often encounter limitations in basic data acquisition. The aim of this paper is to analyze transit accessibility to hubs by integrating open data sources into ArcGIS. For avoiding the imprecise of statistical unit of traditional administrative region and the pseudo accurate of grid-by-grid method, the paper analyzes accessibility on a grid basis, block basis, and district basis. It establishes a BlockModel using the combination of travel time and fare as the accessibility parameter. Results allow us to obtain the spatial feature distribution figures of transit accessibility to railway stations in the city of Nanjing, and provide a decision-making basis for city development and public transportation planning.
