Bus rapid transit (BRT) bus stops sometimes are set up as integratedbus stops, which provide services for both regular public transit and bus rapid transit. To guarantee thespeedinessof BRT, this paper studiesintegrated bus stops, and analyzes queuing delays of BRT vehicles at exclusive and integrated bus stops with Queuing Theory first. Considering the effect of buses’arrival and passengers’ getting on and off buses on buses’delay, this paper calculatesstopping delay of BRT vehicles at bus stops, and builds atotal delay model of BRT vehicles. Takingtotal delay of BRT vehicles at exclusive bus stops as standard, and comparing total delays of BRT vehicles at exclusive and integrated bus stops, this paper proposesa analyzing method of setting threshold forintegrated bus stops. Then, this paper usesaexclusive bus stop as an example toverify feasibility of the method. The method guarantees priority of BRT, and provides theoretical support for setting upintegrated bus stops.
