This paper comprehensively researches the development trend of spatial distribution in mega-regions and proposes a new concept of analogical relationship between ecological systems and transportation systems, applying the theories of Population ecology, respectively, to different fields in the various subsystems fitting the mega-region. The theory was successfully used to interpret the relationship between competition and cooperation in the various Megalopolises' transport sub-systems by qualitative analysis. Meanwhile, ecological niche theory could explain the quantitative and spatial distribution relation of each transport subsystem. Based on context theory, the research concentrates on the new trends in traffic corridors, channels, and transport hubs in mega-regions.
