In this paper, the capacity of the weaving section, in which an on-ramp and an off-ramp are joined together by an auxiliary lane, influenced by the inflow rates of drive-in and drive-out vehicles is investigated. The drive-in vehicle should merge into the main road while the drive-out vehicle should diverge from the main road. When the number of drive-out vehicle is larger than the number of drive-in vehicle, the total flux can be reduced to lower values. The drive-out vehicle is difficult to enter into the off-ramp then it queues up at the weaving section and blocks the following traffic. Thus the flux on the off-ramp is much lower than the inflow rate of drive-out vehicle and the traffic on the main road is greatly disturbed. As to the length of the weaving section, it should be better larger than 150 m.
