Traffic safety, which involves many disciplines, is a highly complex and uncertain area. Traditional research failed to unify all the separate subjects into a cohesive one, and the explanation of the traffic accident causes was not convincing. We apply Chinese Harmony (HeXie) Theory to demonstrate traffic safety, putting human factors in the leading role and explaining the two mechanisms and the coupling of two modes to achieve traffic safety. Finally, harmony degree function (H(x)) and traffic safety function (TS(x)) are applied to analyze the process of the realization of harmonious traffic safety.
