In order to promote the development of the Pearl River delta urban agglomeration, it is essential to grasp the travel characteristics of intercity travel. This paper studies spatial-temporal characteristics of residents’ travel in the area based on car-hailing data on National Day. The paper analyzes the temporal characteristics of urban agglomeration travel, studies peak period of residents travel during the holiday, and uses the correlation coefficient to analyze the correlation of departures and arrivals. Then, the spatial characteristics of urban agglomeration travel is analyzed. The GDBSCAN algorithm solves the problem of low efficiency caused by the large amount of travel data in the analysis of the spatial characteristics. The results show that intercity traveler’s vacation is longer than National Day and there is an obvious round-trip phenomenon. The core regions show strong connections in the boundary of administrative division, which shows a good trend of regional development in urban agglomeration.
