The slow traffic is composed by walking and bike driving with fast start and slow speed characteristics. That the slow traffic and vehicle flow are driving at the same time will cause traffic confusion. The proper implementations of the slow traffic priority will be to improve safety and traffic efficiency at the signalized intersections. In this paper, the current problems of slow traffic are analyzed. Combined with the analysis of geometric characteristics of different types of intersections, the principles and implementation conditions of slow traffic priority are proposed at the signalized intersections. From two aspects of the space and time priority research, the measures of slow traffic priority are proposed at the signalized intersections. Slow traffic priority signal timing design flow is proposed.
