This paper presents a probabilistic optimization methodology for aerospace vehicle design under uncertainty. The inclusion of linkages between system-level and component-level design requirements leads to multidisciplinary optimization (MDO). The proposed methodology formulates and solves a probabilistic multidisciplinary optimization problem for the coupled design of a reusable launch vehicle (RLV) geometry and its liquid hydrogen fuel tank.
