This paper will discuss managing international operations in a 25-year old facility while implementing construction projects to accommodate new Group VI aircraft, accepting new international carriers with corresponding passenger growth, maintaining and keeping the facilities up to operating standards and planning for capital development program to replace and improve the facilities. This paper will present the interface among operations, finance, safety, and development with corresponding challenges and techniques adopted and planned for to the satisfaction and sometimes not, of stakeholders. Within this context, a discussion of landside to airside including FIS (federal inspection services) and baggage operations will be presented focusing on findings and solutions.
